All of our current programs take place in the small home of our advisor, Mukiza Fred. His home is rapidly running out of space to accommodate the growing number of members and activities. Our goal for the coming year is to build a brand new community center to house our Vocational Empowerment Program, library, reading area, boys and girls dorms, and a supply room.
Outside the community center, there will be a double pit latrine, gardens, an area for sports, and small thatched shelters where the youth can relax, read, or gather for crafts. The cost to build the structure is approximately $17,000, however, to equip the center with materials and furniture, we are estimating the total at $20,000.
